What to Include in Your Cosmetic Foot Care Routine
Here are suggestions we have that you should consider for a cosmetic foot care routine.

Our feet take on more strain than we realize. We’re not usually thinking about how much we use them in our day-to-day lives. As such, we also don’t tend to think about how much care our feet need and deserve. That’s why we’re here to remind you to take care of your feet from time to time, and there are many ideas you could consider trying. Here are suggestions we have that you should consider for a cosmetic foot care routine.

Prepare a Foot Bath

A good place to start for your cosmetic foot care routine is a foot bath. You’ll want to take a basin and add some warm water to it. Then, consider adding a couple cups of Epsom salts, and some drops of some essential oils to elevate your sense of relaxation. Ideally, your foot soak should be between 15 and 20 minutes, as this provides enough time for the hard skin of your feet to become soft.

Deal With Dead Skin

Another part of your cosmetic foot care routine should revolve around exfoliation. It’s a good idea to get rid of dead skin so your feet can be left nice and smooth. This can be done by either using a foot scrub or a pumice stone. Use gentle circular motions across your feet to get rid of dead skin (the balls of your feet should be give extra special attention). It’s important to be gentle when doing this so that you don’t cause damage to your feet in the process of taking care of them.

You might have to be more thorough if you haven’t performed this foot care routine in a while. Once you get into the habit of doing this regularly, you shouldn’t have to be as thorough in the future.

Take Care of Your Nails

You want to take care of your toenails as well during your cosmetic foot care routine. This helps prevent ingrown nails. You’ll want to trim your toenails straight across, and don’t push back your cuticles or cut them. These are important for keeping your nail bed safe against bacteria.
