Your Foot Pain
A neuroma is a painful condition, also referred to as a “pinched nerve” or a nerve tumor. It causes pain, a burning sensation, tingling, or numbness between the toes and in the ball of the foot.
Peripheral neuropathy affects the nerves that go out from the brain and spinal cord to the muscles, skin, and internal organs. Peripheral neuropathy impairs proper functioning of these sensory and motor nerves. The most common symptoms of neuropathy include numbness and loss of feeling, usually in the feet and hands.
Athlete's foot is a fungal infection that causes red, dry and/or flaking skin, sometimes accompanied by pain or itching. The condition usually occurs between the toes or on the soles or sides of the feet.

A bunion is an enlargement of the joint at the base of the big toe that forms when the bone or tissue at the big toe joint moves out of place. This forces the toe to bend toward the others, causing a
prominent bump of bone that is often
painful. Non-surgical treatment options
include Padding, Anti-inflammatory Medications, Orthotics, and Changing shoes. If these options do not alleviate symptoms, surgical correction can be considered.
Ingrown Toenails can be very painful. They occur when a sharp corner of the toenail digs into the skin at the end of or side of the toe. Pain and inflammation at the spot where the nail curls into the skin occurs first. Later, the inflamed area can begin to grow extra tissue or drain yellowish fluid. An in-office surgical procedure can fix this problem and prevent it from recurring.
A hammertoe is bending of the toe at the first joint that causes the toe to appear like an upside-down V when viewed from the side. Any toe can be involved, however, most commonly the second through the fifth toes are affected. Non-surgical treatment options include Padding, Anti-inflammatory Medications, and Changing shoes. If these options do not alleviate symptoms, surgical correction can be considered.
